I am a BAFTA-winning producer who has developed and produced a number of hard-hitting and critically acclaimed dramas. I have a specialism in fact-based drama and am skilled at accessing front page news stories, interviewing contributors and collaborating with writers and directors to bring highly sensitive true stories to screen.
Having started out in documentaries, I was hired by Jeff Pope (Philomena, Stan & Ollie) first to research and then produce factual drama. I collaborated with Jeff for over a decade and we established a successful factual drama hub within Andy Harries's (The Crown, Quiz) drama department at ITV.
Working closely with writer Neil McKay (The Reckoning, Four Lives) I developed and produced a number of award-winning dramas. My first limited series - See No Evil: The Moors Murders - won Best Drama at BAFTA. This was followed by Mo starring Julie Walters which won Best Single Drama at the Broadcast Press Guild awards as well as a BAFTA and International Emmy for Julie's performance as Mo Mowlam.
I then developed and produced Appropriate Adult. Directed by Julian Jarrold (This England) it won three BAFTAS in acting categories for the performances of Dominic West, Emily Watson and Monica Dolan. I was also the development producer of The Moorside starring Sheridan Smith and Siobhan Finneran which was BAFTA nominated as Best Mini-Series.

I moved to the BBC as a development producer for Faith Penhale (Gentleman Jack, Am I Being Unreasonable) before taking a year's sabbatical to travel through Latin America with my (then) ten year old daughter - visiting eleven countries along the way.

On returning to the UK, after a brief stint developing a project for Ruth Kenley-Letts (Mrs Wilson, Strike) I was given the opportunity to set up a scripted hub as Head of Drama at Plimsoll Productions. Here I was able to secure access to and funded development for a number of high profile factual stories for drama as well as broaden my remit to include the development of original, returning series ideas.
